Century City is known for its high-rises, corporate offices and the Westfield Century City, now undergoing a $950M reno.

Century City Chamber of Commerce president and CEO Susan Bursk (above in Oregon) tells Bisnow the area was developed more than 60 years ago with the aim of it being a "city within a city."

It was built around 20th Century Fox Studios and, at the time, dubbed the "City of the Future." It is still referred to by that name, Susan says.

Those who live and work in Century City are fortunate to be in a community that has always "valued foresight and continues to lead the way," she says.

Allen Matkins partner John Tipton says Century City is in its most dynamic era since he arrived to town 30 years ago.

He cites the Westfield Century City renovations underway, those coming up at Century Plaza Hotel, and other "projects significantly increasing available housing units" and improvements being made to "available healthcare and transportation projects."
