It may have been more than a decade in the making, but construction has finally begun on MacFarlane Partners' Park Fifth in DTLA.
Work began last week on the first phase of the mixed-use development across the street from Pershing Square.
A small parking garage was torn down to make way for the seven-story project with 313 apartments and 7k SF of retail space, according to Urbanize LA.
Portland's Ankrom Moisan Architects is designing Park Fifth.
A second phase is in the works with 348 apartments in a 24-story building.
The development could be completed in 2018. [ULA]
