Big Week For Martin Expo Town Center

Now that the new Metro Expo Line extension is open and providing service from downtown to Santa Monica, a massive mixed-use project being built near an Expo Line stop may be steps closer to becoming a reality.

The Martin Expo Town Center at Olympic Boulevard and Bundy Drive, which will replace the Martin Automotive Group dealership, is scheduled to go before the LA Planning Commission this week.

The development will be built on a five-acre site and include 516 apartments, retail and office space, open space and a renovated Martin Automotive Group location.

Dan Martin gave details about the project in March at Bisnow's The Future of Silicon Beach event.

The developers have spent a significant amount of time doing community outreach, according to Urbanize LA.

After this week, the transit-oriented project could go to the city council's PLUM Committee next and then the LA City Council.

The developers hope to be finished with that process by the end of June or early July.  [ULA]
