Est4te Four Capital has filed redevelopment plans for a warehouse at 929 E 2nd St in the Arts District for $21.6M.

The British firm purchased the property, originally the headquarters of the Challenge Cream & Butter Co, four months ago. The building was built in 1926. In more recent years, it housed artists' lofts.

Est4te Four Capital plans to add almost 65k SF on top of the two-story building, according to Urbanize LA.

The top levels would be used for a private club with office space, a swimming pool and a gym. On the street level, there would be retail, including a café and a food market.

Construction is expected to begin later this year. [ULA]
