Petco's Pooch Hotel, located in West LA (2250 Barrington Ave), fetched more than $11M for seller 1240 Palmetto LLC. Petco occupies the 18k SF building on a 10-year lease. The Pooch Hotel, like a few others the pet supply company operates in California and the US, is a pet lodging that offers daycare, boarding, and spa treatments (think "pawdicures" and tummy-rub turndown service at bedtime). Lee & Associates' Mollie Shea Dietsch, who repped 1031 exchange buyer Kanin Family Trust, notes that Westside property of all types are in high demand.
