Sunday evening we snapped Hudson Pacific president Howard Stern and wife Lisa at The Old Place Cornell in Agoura Hills. The 70-year-old downhome restaurant has to be the height of lowtechyou sit at picnic table-like booths in a wood cabin with reservations written on a chalk board. Quite an irony for Howard, whose firm by day is working hard on its latest high tech venture: Element LA, the 12-acre campus at Olympic and Bundy they bought last fall and are rapidly redeveloping into a super-cool new creative campus of four buildings (the big one formerly Teledyne),240k SFof office, and a recently commenced 830-stall parking structure. They hope it will open its doors in Q2, but meanwhile Howard reportstenant tours are brisk--which is good for walking off those juicy steaks.
