HighBrook managing director Robert Giusti tells us that the firm has acquired 12655 W Jefferson Blvd in Playa Vista through a rare off-market transaction. HighBrook has engaged HLW International to redesign the building into one of the premiere creative office projects in the area. The $5M-$6M core and shell renovation will include significant changes to the building façade, main lobby, restrooms, and parking garage, as well as the addition of numerous outdoor patios, seating areas, and open-air balconies. The building is believed to be the tallest in Playa Vista, hence its name: The Lookout. Planned improvements should be completed by Q4 '14, and leasing will be handled by CBRE’s Jeff Pion.
