Trammell JV Breaks Ground on Spec Industrial in Compton

A Trammell Crow JV has broken ground on a new spec industrial development in Compton.

The 1M SF project, dubbed The Brickyard South Bay, is a JV of Trammell and Principal Real Estate Investors. The property will consist of two buildings that will be LEED Gold certified.

One building will be 525k SF while the other will be 481k SF, though both buildings will include 10k SF of office.

The area’s proximity to LAX as well as to the Port of Los Angeles and the Port of Long Beach were a draw for the developers, according to GlobeSt.

The project is scheduled to open in July. [GS]
