Last night, more than 100 members of NAIOP SoCal filled the Conga Room at LA Live to hear Ross Clementi Hale principal Bob Hale and Kilroy Realty EVP David Simon talk aboutThe Laws of (Tenant) Attraction. They discussed what creative and tech tenants--largely the under-30 Millennial generation--are looking for in their workspace. Key requirements include sustainable or LEED projects, fewer perimeter offices, walkability, and proximity to housing and public transit. What does David deem "the most interesting and exciting project" of his career? Columbia Square, a mixed-use redevelopment in the heart of Hollywood--luxury apartments, retail, and 330k SF of new office space breaking ground this summer.
