Younan's 460

Dallas' largest office building owner, Younan Properties, leased more than  460k SF of office space through the first eight months of the year, including a 58k SF renewal by New York Life Insurance Co. at Energy Square Two (pictured). Younan COO Robert Peddicord says the recent activity points to Texas as a growth story coming out of the recession. Dallas fares better than most markets, with unemployment at 8.5%, compared with the national average of 9.6%. Dallas also is projected to add more than 700k new  residents over the next five years, the highest forecast in the US, he adds.
