Daiso, a Japanese value store, signed an 11k SF lease in the Mason Park Shopping center. The space will be Daiso's first venture in Houston. The location was chosen due to its proximity to 99 Ranch Market, an Asian grocery chain, according to Swamplot.
NewQuest is handling leasing for the retailer, which plans to open 12 stores in the Houston area. NewQuest has said the stores will be opened as soon as the space can be remodeled, so the first space leased may not be the first space opened. [SL]
