Mala Sichuan is opening a third location in the new Asian Town shopping development in Katy, at the northeast corner of Grand Parkway and I-10. Two of the three buildings completed this month, with the last scheduled to deliver in September, Community Impact News reports. The development is designed to feature dozens of specialized Asian destinations, with spaces ranging from 1,500 to 2K SF. About 60% of the space is already leased to a variety of highly anticipated Asian eateries such as Soju 101, Haus 92 and Atami Japanese Restaurant. With a James Beard Award nominee now in the lineup, Katy residents are already working up an appetite.
Mala Sichuan Bistro expanded to Montrose in 2015 after the original location opened in Bellaire's Asiatown.
