We've got to get behind any company spreading bread throughout the metro, and Slow Dough Bread Co is on an absolute growth tear. The firm recently expanded into Austin and opened a Bake Shop in Weights + Measures (its first retail location) and now it's taken an even bigger step. The retailer just purchased Whole Foods' 40k SF production kitchen and bakery at 59 and the Sam Houston Tollroad, according to Culture Map. It's nearly triple the size of Slow Dough's current facility and immediately increases the brand's retail presence into 38 grocery stores in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana and allows it the opportunity to expand to San Antonio.
