Checkers Planning More Than Two Dozen New Houston Locations

Checkers & Rally Restaurants plan to add more than two dozen drive-thru fast food burger locations with an updated design in Houston this year. Checkers director of franchise development Bruce Kim told the Houston Chronicle the company plans to open 20 franchised locations here in the next six months. Seven will be the company's new modular '4.0' design. By the end of the year, the company hopes to have a total of 30 locations, including two existing restaurants in Spring Branch and Bammel North. Checkers also plans to enter the Dallas-Fort Worth market, Kim said. [Chron]
