Andrew Kaldis, a developer behind several restoration projects around Houston, has announced plans for a new mixed-use facility at 3420 Rusk in the East End. The project, called EaDo Workspaces, will offer creative office space from 250 SF to 5k SF. Tenants will enjoy an outdoor seating area with a reconditioned shipping container serving as a bar. Video and photography studios will also be on-site, a growing trend. One major draw is parking — the project will feature much more parking than similar spaces in Montrose and Midtown.
Kaldis has won three preservation awards for Houston projects, according to the Houston Chronicle. His latest will benefit from infrastructure improvements planned for the East End. Early this year the City of Houston and East End Management District will begin work on the redevelopment of the esplanade on Navigation, a project that won a ULI award. [Chron]
