Development at the Boardwalk at Towne Lake in Cypress continues. Joining the mix of dining and wellness centers will be a 10K SF free-standing medical building. The facility will be home to Basu Aesthetics & Plastic Surgery's Beleza Surgery Center, a state-licensed ambulatory surgery center designed solely for the aesthetic plastic surgery patient.

Wellness is a specialty for the Boardwalk at Towne Lake. The roughly 150K SF development features a variety of health-focused tenants, including Orangetheory Fitness, Texas Children's Pediatrics and Pure Barre. True to its mixed-use roots, the center also includes plenty of dining and shopping options. Two fast-growing eateries, Torchy's and MOD Pizza, call it home. The project is roughly 70% complete, according to Caldwell.

The Boardwalk is the first major mixed-use development in the Cypress-Fairbanks area. With roughly 2,400 rooftops in nearby Towne Lake, the development looks to follow in the footsteps of other prominent suburban mixed-use projects in the Houston area, like La Centerra in Cinco Ranch or The Woodlands Town Center.

Future plans call for additional office space, senior living, cottage homes and townhomes, as well as a 2,500-seat amphitheater.
