AIA celebrated its 2015 design awards last week. Some of the winners include Page for the University of Houston TDECU Stadium (pictured) and the Cougar Woods Dining Hall, Kirksey for Wildwood Corporate Centre and Powers Brown for the Fort Bend Veterans’ Memorial. UH has been focusing on student life recently as it's been dramatically increasing the number of students living on campus. The stadium and dining hall (the only freestanding one on the main campus) are meant to be new gathering places as the university grows. The AIA judges’ criteria included quality of design, resolution of the program idea, sustainable responsibility, innovation, thoughtfulness and technique.
