1M SF Mixed-Use Kirby Collection Breaking Ground

Kirby Collection, Thor Equities' 1M SF mixed-use project, has locked in construction financing and will start construction in October. The project is in River Oaks and will have a 25-story multifamily building, 13-story office, retail and entertainment uses. The residential tower will have 199 apartments, including seven two-story townhomes and seven two-story lofts with private yards, and will overlook an acre of landscaped amenities. The office tower will be 210k SF of Class-A space. It's all served by two levels of retail totaling 65k SF. Kirby Collection will deliver in Q4 '17. It's designed by Richard Keating with Dianna Wong Architecture + Design handling interiors. Kirksey is the architect of record. Thor's Jack Bousquet has said that lower oil prices and the weaker economy are actually a benefit to Kirby Collection because it cut out competition.
