New Luxury Le Meridien Hotel Planned For Houston

A new luxury hotel is opening at the site of the vacant Melrose building at 1121 Walker in downtown Houston. The Beck Group has obtained building permits for the land, according to the Houston Chronicle. The owner/occupant listed on the paperwork is Le Meridien, Starwood’s flagship brand.

A rendering of the hotel is posted on the Downtown Houston website.

Features include a signature restaurant, 8k SF of meeting space, and a rooftop pool that opens to an outdoor sundeck.

That site reports that the 225-room project will be completed in Q3 2017. [HC
