Houston's Gateway Status Attracts International Brand

Mexico’s largest hotel operator, Grupo Posadas, is expanding outside the country for the first time, and Houston will get one of its very first international properties. Bighorn Capital invested $450M to develop Live Aqua luxury boutique hotels in five US gateway cities with large Hispanic populations and Latin American tourism—Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, Houston and DC. (We're loving that gateway designation.) Each facility will have 250 to 300 rooms. Début Hotel Group will manage the properties. Live Aqua was voted the best resort in Mexico in 2013 by Travel & Leisure.
