Hotel ZaZa Breaking Ground This Month

MetroNational and Z Resorts are kicking off construction on Hotel ZaZa this month at the intersection of I-10 and Bunker Hill Road. It's the second ZaZa in Houston and will start welcoming guests in summer 2017.

MetroNational president Jason Johnson says the 159-key hotel is an important amenity to make Memorial City a best of class development, and it'll include 10k SF of meeting space. If you stay and don't ever want to leave, that's an option—four levels at the top of the 17-story tower will be dedicated to 130 apartment units. (Residents can use all the ZaZa amenities but will also have their own pool.)

The property overlooks a new lawn in Memorial City, which will host live music, community festivals and markets. Kirksey is designing, and Anslow Bryant is building the hotel. Duncan Miller Ullmann is the interior designer.
