New York-based technology company WorkFusion has announced that it is to open its new European headquarters in Dublin city centre.

The move is another boost for Dublin’s technology sector, and the Dublin opening will be the company's fourth office location, joining WorkFusion's global headquarters in New York City, plus Warsaw, Poland, and Hyderabad, India.

The Dublin opening will create 100 jobs over the next three years, the company said, and will house the company's R&D and data scientists as well as other key software engineering roles, working with banking, insurance and financial companies. The company said it creates AI-powered "digital workers".

Its decision to open a 7K SF office at Hospitality House on South Cumberland Street in Dublin comes as a number of tech giants have slowed their expansion, with Facebook parent Meta in July pausing the fit-out of its Fibonacci Square development in Dublin.

Meta has taken a 25-year pre-let on two 360K SF office blocks being developed by Johnny Ronan on the site of the former AIB Bankcentre, with an annual rent of €22.5M on the development.

Ireland was the top choice for U.S. tech firms last year, and data from JLL Europe showed that tech firms spearheaded leasing activity in Dublin since the pandemic began, taking more than 30% of space across five key deals in the second quarter of 2022.

"When considering where we should locate our European headquarters, Dublin was an easy choice," WorkFusion CEO Adam Famularo said. "Ireland has a booming technology sector and an abundance of skilled talent, plus it is ideally situated as the gateway to the E.U. It also has great technical universities and, as an AI company, Dublin's focus on being the world's AI centre of excellence was an added bonus."
