John Eulich died last week at age 86 after a brief illness, the Dallas Morning News reports. John started his career as a traveling clothing salesman in West Texas before founding Vantage Cos in 1959. His first project was a 20k SF tire shop, but from there, Vantage became one of North Texas' top commercial companies. At its peak, the firm had more than 7,000 employees developing warehouses, hotels, office towers and industrial sites totaling more than $7B nationwide. John is survived by his wife and four daughters. [DMN]
