The growth of coworking space continues apace in Dallas-Fort Worth with Common Desk announcing its eighth location, this one in the suburb of Richardson.

The flexible office space, which will be called Common Desk - Richardson, opens in the fall at 3400 at CityLine, a Transwestern development near Interstate 75 known for its proximity to corporate headquarters and restaurants.

Common Desk will use 31K SF inside the site. This is the first Common Desk site where the company has partnered with Transwestern.

3400 at CityLine is a 313K SF Class-A office building with five floors, a café, a deli and a fitness center in the lobby.

Common Desk’s presence will contribute to the building’s overall amenities by bringing a full-service espresso bar by Fiction Coffee with it, a large rentable boardroom for outside meetings, community events for all tenants in the building, yard game sets and extended green spaces.

Founded in Dallas’ Deep Ellum district in 2012, Common Desk serves thousands of tenants in DFW and Austin.

The coworking provider also announced plans to open Common Desk-Addison in the spring, expanding its offerings to an area known for its restaurants, urban lofts and office space.

Coworking spaces continue to pop up in North Texas, and while growth is expected to continue apace, market experts have predicted that only established well-funded brands will safely navigate a slowdown or recession.

Even still, flexible workspace remains popular with everyone from Jerry Jones, CBRE and WeWork, all of whom grew their respective businesses' coworking imprints in the DFW area within the past year through strategic partnerships and plans for more spaces.
