S2 Capital acquired River Oaks Apartments at 711 Brentford Place in Arlington and The Grove at White Rock at 10429 Lone Tree Lane in East Dallas. And one's getting a Cowboys spin.
The firm will spend $2.5M on interior and exterior renovations for the 188-unit River Oaks, which was built in 1983. The property will be updated to complement S2 Capital’s North Arlington portfolio that consists of eight properties and 2,700 units.
S2 Capital will spend $5M on both interior and exterior renovations for The Grove, which has 282 units. S2 Capital plans to rename this apartment complex The Zeke after the Dallas Cowboys' newest running back and future rookie of the year, Ezekiel Elliott. This is the 20th acquisition for S2 Capital in DFW.
Since its establishment in 2012 by Harold “Skip” Bird and Scott Everett (above with his kids), S2 Capital has acquired over $400M in Class-B and C multifamily communities totaling over 7,000 units and invested over $80M in upgrades.
