Hunt Southwest Planning To Open A Cold One In Fort Worth

Hunt Southwest Real Estate Development is drawing up plans for a new 300K SF spec cold storage facility in South Fort Worth, one of the hottest industrial markets in the metro.

Hunt Southwest is waiting on a building permit, which it expects to receive in two months. Once that happens, construction of the cold storage facility could wrap up over the course of nine months.

“This is a rare opportunity for a food distributor, public refrigerated warehouse or manufacturer to capitalize on a highly strategic location, with best-in-class, new-construction amenities,” Hunt Southwest Vice President Preston Herold said in a statement. “The future tenant will be in great company in a vibrant industrial park that already has an extensive food industry presence with world-class corporations such as Tyson Foods, Mrs. Baird’s Bread, the Schwan Food Co., Mother Parker’s Tea & Coffee, Ben E. Keith Foods & Beers, Lineage Logistics, Core-Mark, Save-A-Lot and MillerCoors Brewing.”

The new property at 8200 Will Rogers Blvd. in the Carter Industrial Park is near Interstate 35 West and I-20, has the ability to incorporate service by rail and will have a 45-foot clear height.
