A Coca-Cola bottler is planning a huge expansion of its industrial plant in Fort Worth.

Arca Continental Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages plans to spend $168M to add two production lines and grow its warehouse from 150K SF to 400K SF over the next three years, the Dallas Morning News reported. The move will position the firm for future growth, President Jean Claude Tissot said.

“We need to think about the opportunities for the future, how we will continue to grow, how we will continue to offer job opportunities and how we are going to be state of the art in terms of technology,” Tissot told the DMN. “That’s not just in our facilities but also in our commercial initiatives.”

The company is the third-largest Coca-Cola bottler in the U.S., per the DMN. It employs 1,800 people across the Metroplex and has generated an estimated $5.4B in economic activity for Texas.

Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages is the latest company to grow its industrial operations in Fort Worth. Big Ass Fans and Lockheed Martin signed a combined 357K SF in leases at Fort Worth Commerce Center earlier this year. Beverage manufacturer DrinkPAK plans to open two locations totaling 2.8M SF at Carter Park East, a move that will create 1,000 full-time jobs by 2026.

Upcoming business relocations and expansions in Fort Worth should produce more than 4,000 new jobs, per the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
