Compass Datacenters will break ground in December on an 87k SF data center just north of Allen Premium Outlets. Compass is building the data center on behalf of TierPoint.

If the company meets benchmark levels of employment and taxable values, the project will receive a 50% city tax abatement for 10 years. The City of Allen expects to collect more than $8M in tax revenue during the data center’s first 10 years of operation.

Allen City Council rezoned the property last week to accommodate on-site electricity generation. Allen has sought data centers for many years, according to Allen EDC CEO Dan Bowman.
