An electronics manufacturing services company plans to invest close to $900M to build what Fort Worth officials called a “mega project” that would help meet demand for data center infrastructure and advanced technology solutions.

Toronto-based Celestica confirmed it will build a more than 1M SF campus for advanced manufacturing and engineering, creating around 1,700 highly skilled jobs in the city. Fort Worth officials estimated that Celestica will invest $876M to build the campus in Hillwood's AllianceTexas master-planned community, the Dallas Business Journal reported.
"This investment reflects the incredible momentum of our business and the growing demand from customers for US-based capabilities supporting advanced technology solutions,” Celestica Chief Operations Officer Yann Etienvre said in a statement. “This new capacity is highly strategic and aligns our long-term growth plans with customer roadmaps and multi-year infrastructure investments already underway."
The massive campus is expected to include Alliance Center North 4 at 15301 N. Beach St. and Alliance Center North 6 at 15500 N. Beach St.
The Fort Worth City Council approved a $41.7M incentive package for Celestica on May 12. It includes an 80% abatement on the company’s property taxes for 10 years, according to the DBJ.
“Celestica's decision to establish operations at AllianceTexas is a tremendous win for Fort Worth and a powerful signal that our city is a destination for world-class tech manufacturing," Robert Allen, president and CEO of the Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership, said in a statement.
Celestica produces infrastructure for artificial intelligence data centers such as liquid-cooling and power solutions as well as networking hardware like Ethernet switches, storage systems and servers. Its new Fort Worth jobs are expected to be in manufacturing operations, engineering and quality assurance.
The company has more than 27,000 employees and over 40 manufacturing and design facilities worldwide.
The choice of the 27,000-acre Alliance community for Celestica’s campus further positions the area as a hub for advanced manufacturing, Hillwood President Mike Berry said.
MP Materials Corp. announced plans in February to invest $1.25B in a large-scale magnet manufacturing campus in the development. The 120-acre campus, to be known as 10X, aims to make the region the center of the nation’s rare earth magnet supply chain.
Taiwanese technology company Wistron InfoComm Corp. is spending $687M on its first U.S. manufacturing plants in Alliance. The more than 1M SF of manufacturing facilities will be used to make components for Nvidia's artificial intelligence supercomputers.
Bell Textron Inc. is building a $632M factory in Alliance to construct aircraft parts. The company has a contract with the U.S. Army for Black Hawk helicopter parts that could be worth as much as $70B.
