Meet the gentlemen that were just promoted to grow Weitzman's brand: Bob Young and Blake Shipp. Bob's main goal as newly minted executive managing director will be to develop the brand across Texas, while Blake as managing director will focus on the day-to-day workings of the DFW market.

With offices in DFW, Austin, Houston and San Antonio, Bob and Blake tell us the firm's footprint is already set. But while their focus is and always will be Texas, they're continuing to expand the Weitzman brand globally. The gents tell us they're meeting clients' needs across the country through The Retail Brokers Network, which connects brokers across North America.

The two plan to evolve with the ever-changing marketplace. Blake tells us that shopping centers are becoming less about just retail and more about the experience.

Bob tells us his favorite shopping centers include the older centers receiving a facelift with a new anchor. His specific favorite? We learned that asking retail professionals their favorite shopping center is like asking them to name a favorite child.
