Regarding that United distribution center mentioned earlier: dirt starts moving next month. Located in the Alliance Gateway Park  on Freedom Drive north of Fort Worth in Roanoke, company spokesman Eddie Owens tells us it'll feed 16 stores as well as four new ones coming to DFW in the coming year. Negotiations are underway for the architect and GC. The 200k SF facility will be developed and operated by logistics company Exel and serve as a consolidation point for product shipments bound for Lubbock.
