Ah, the siren song  of the Bisnow Schmooze—readers can't resist the sweet sound of an open bar. Over 300 of you steered your ships to the Addison BlackFinn restaurant Wednesday for some of the finest power networking (and a brief respite from 100-degree temps).

We got the skinny on the latest move from KBS. Transwestern's Kim Brooks (third from the left, with colleague Fletcher Cordell, Peloton?s Sarah Hinckley,  KBS? Lisa Johnston, and Transwestern's Staci Fletcher and Justin Miller) unveiled the plans at their sponsor table for the renovation of Providence Towers? lobby and first level of the garage. The KBS leasing team was mum on the deets, but we'll let you know what we find out.

Mid-schmooze, we interrupted UTA urban density guru Michael Buckley and REAL Professional Network?s Rick Lackey. Michael left his post at Columbia University to create the UTA Center for Metropolitan Density. UTA is introducing a certificate program that examines distressed assets and the economic and societal challenges accompanying them. Rick, who started his network a little over a year ago in Atlanta, got capital from outside investors this spring to expand the network into Dallas. The groups meet to share CRE market tips and intel.

We snapped Servcorp?s Sandra Colic, Laura Dominguez, and Ashley Jacobs at their busy sponsor booth. Sandra tells us the firm's technology platform allows ServCorp (which provides executive suites and virtual offices) to set up clients within five minutes with a dedicated receptionist taking your calls. In Dallas, Servcorp has centers at 5500 Preston Rd, 2101 Cedar Springs Rd in Uptown and 14241 Dallas Pkwy near the Galleria. Sandra says Servcorp?s clients include Microsoft, Intel, and Coca-Cola.

AllSteel?s Melanie Wick, StructureTone?s Eric Hage and Merriman Associates Architects? Skyler Renschler. MAA's interiors department has been slammed for the past couple of weeks, picking up new projects. She's also planning a Sept. 10 wedding to Robbie Baty (who does tenant rep for Cushman & Wakefield) in Waco. The couple?s traveling to the island of Bora Bora for their honeymoon. We echo Skyler's excitement: "Woohoo!"

We found another event sponsor in the fine folks from Parsons Roofing: Ashley Hinojosa, Craig Tindle, Roger Parsons, and Robert Tindle. Roger tells us the firm has been in business for more than 60 years building all types of roofs, but specializing in the Duro-Last system (an Energy Star-approved, leak-proof pre-fab roofing system). Parsons is the largest contractor of Duro-Last in the country and Roofing Industry magazine ranked the firm No. 22 on its list of top 100 roofing companies nationwide. Among its clientele are the cities of Lewisville, Desoto, Arlington, as well as UTA and many commercial buildings.

We grabbed Griffith Nixon Davison?s Stewart Shurtleff, Global Capital Lending?s Phyllis Kramer, Architectural Finishes? Jeff Casey, and Protection 1 Security Solutions? Julie Lamont Jordan. Jeff tells us he's working on opening new showrooms with several other Bisnow networkers to display Venetian, Italian, and Eastern European plasters. Business is stronger this year than the last few and expansion plans are in the works.
