Why are infill locations so alluring? Try density, growing populations, and increasingly affluent residents. (Those are also the reasons circuses come to town.)

1) Ross Avenue/Lower Greenville Corridor

The Weitzman Group SVP/DFW director of project leasing Earl Harris tells us the Ross Avenue/Lower Greenville corridorwill continue to blossom this year because of the growth of the Arts District, the addition of multifamily complexes like the Icon, and the improvements to Lower Greenville. The combination is attracting everyone from local restaurants to Trader Joes and Walmart Neighborhood Market, Earl says. (Where there's food, there's people.)

2) Old East Dallas/Casa Linda

The Old East Dallas/Casa Linda submarket has long been a dense, but often overlooked, area of Dallas, Earl tells us. As new infill single-family, multifamily, and redevelopment projects occur, were seeing new hot spots like the Garland Road/Peavy intersection with Goodfriend Beer Garden & Burger House (pictured) and the new Cane Rosso near White Rock Lake, he says.

3) Uptown/Maple Corridor

Earl says the Uptown story is not a new one, but the area is adding so much high-density multifamily that--combined with massive projects like Trammell Crows Old Parkland redevelopment (pictured) and the new Maple Avenue Kroger--well see interest from retailers and restaurants stretch to Love Field. (We already noticed a new Del Taco right by Love Field while flying out of there last week.)
