Our Charlotte reporter Lee Howard brings Cowboys fans everywhere the sad news of the completion of the steel frame that will support the world's largest high-definition video board that will debut during Charlotte Motor Speedway?s 2011 May race events. A topping out ceremony featuring Ed ?Too Tall? Jones (center), former Dallas Cowboys All-Pro defensive end (and traitor), marked the event even as construction continues on the massive screen created by Panasonic. ?The one in Dallas was one of the most incredible things I?ve ever seen in my life,? Ed says. ?But this one just kind of tops it all.? Pictured with Ed are Richard Ballard, VP of sales at Panasonic Enterprises Solutions Co, and Marcus Smith, Speedway prez and GM. The speedway has applied to have the screen listed in theGuinness Book. Too Tall placed an American flag on the final girder, which was hoisted more than 110 feet in the air. (If it were Leon Lett, he would've placed the flag before it reached full height.)
