Look Back at 2009

No, this isn't a sentimental year end retrospective. We're looking back just a few weeks to highlight The Real Estate Council Young Guns’ fourth quarter mixer in the Design District. Talks centered on the TREC Foundation and how members can get involved.

TREC vice chair Chip Cavanaugh, section head of the real estate group for Munsch Hardt, highlighted pro bono professional services, and monetary grants to non-profits in affordable housing, economic development, education, and the environment.

Hidden talent alert: CushWake associate Diana Dunlap was a UT cheerleader when the team won the ’05 national championship. Now, her "Edge Team," Bob EdgeMatt HeidelbaughMari Jones and Gary Collett, recently completed a 60k SF deal relocating Publicis to The Shops at Legacy. CapStar Commercial’s Audrey Ausburn and partner Robert Powell recently inked a 10k SF lease with PriceKubecka for The Atrium at Bent Tree in Addison. Audrey also volunteers with Children's Cancer Fund  and serves on the Elizabeth Toon Charities committee.

The Beck Group’s Julian Nahan and Gary Sanchez were joined by RTKL’s Will Clinton. Beck is juggling several GSA projects, including renovation of the historical Hipolito F. Garcia Federal Building in San Antonio, with phase one underway. As a Sr. PE, Julian is developing a building information model of Hipolito to coordinate work in 3D.
