McKinney’s Greenhaven is the first multifamily garden community in Texas to earn LEED for Homes-Silver certification. Greenhaven developer Fore Property Company VP Jonathan Fore holds the plaque with McKinney mayor Brian Loughmiller and USGBC VP Nate Kredich. Nate says the designation and strong leasing prove sustainable living is good not just for the local economy and environment but the residents who desire to live green. The initial five completed buildings in the community have received LEED cert. The remaining five residential buildings are under construction with cert anticipated upon completion. |
