Bisnow Exclusive: Dal-Rich's Major, Diverse Resurgence

Richardson’s Dal-Rich Town Square just went through a rough patch, but no more—Weitzman just signed a slew of new tenants, bringing the property back to 93% occupancy.

The Weitzman Group’s James McEwen and Joey Keffler (pictured surrounding Nhat Ngo, owner and operator of Wing Bucket) are breathing new life into the shopping center with a curated mixture of specialty tenants. After Whole Foods departed in 2013, occupancy dropped to 70%, an all-time low. Thanks to five new specialty concepts and restaurants occupying 33k SF, Dal-Rich is now at 93% occupancy and experiencing new-found popularity.

At the heart of Dal-Rich's revitalization is Richardson Mercantile, a high-profile, high-traffic anchor taking over the Whole Foods space and helping attract strong new co-tenancy, Joey tells us. It's allowed Dal-Rich to attract young families seeking something different and promises to keep the shopping center viable for the long term. Adding to the diverse mixture of 10 dining and food options at Dal-Rich in 2016 are:

 UFC Gym (13k SF)
⦁  Sleep Central Mattress Store (7k SF)
  Wing Bucket
⦁  Noodle Palace
(5k SF)
⦁  Las Brazas Fine Mexican Cuisine (3k SF)
