Yesterday morning at the DC Renaissance, our colleagues in the nation's capital were delighted to welcome FCC chairman Julius Genachowski, center, with former FCC chairman Dick Wiley (who despite his youth served in that role under Presidents Nixon, Ford, and Carter, which as we recall was even before phones had been invented), and former North Dakota US Sen Byron Dorgan. The occasion was our Bisnow Tech event, ?The Future of Mobile,? which panelists see this era as virtually the future of civilization. A key challenge, according to Julius: demand for spectrum. It's increasing exponentially, sometimes 3,500% a year.
