ANOTHER MALL MAKEOVER

There isn't a wait at the Clinque counter for this makeover: The Parks at Arlington (owned and managed by General Growth Properties) began a two-phase mall-wide renovation for an undisclosed amount. Mall-wide painting and interior/exterior lighting installation will be finished before the holiday rush. Early next year, all-new polished porcelain tile will be installed throughout the 1.5M SF shopping center. The food court is scheduled for a complete remodel including the installation of new furniture for diners. (One would expect a free sample of the chairs beforehand.) Also look for contemporary furniture in the Macy?s court seating area. Mall GM Lorie Lisius tells us most of the work will be done after mall hours from 10pm to 6am. We're thinking Paul Blart will be overseeing security.
