Eisenberg Foundation Gala Raises $500k For Real Estate Education, Cancer Research

Over 725 people attended the 18th annual Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation fundraising dinner at the Hilton Chicago on Michigan Avenue. The event raised over $500k to benefit the organization’s dual mission of funding gastrointestinal cancer research and advancing real estate education.

During the event, five new real estate scholars were announced. These undergrad and graduate students will have the opportunity to jump-start their careers in the industry by working alongside real estate innovators for a year. These winners will also receive $5k scholarships.

Harold Eisenberg was a prominent real estate developer who died suddenly of liver cancer in 1999, at age 53. He was a tireless mentor to people getting their starts in the industry and taught at the International Council of Shopping Centers School for Professional Development.
