CBRE placed 181 W Madison on the market and hired a broker to entertain bids that could reach $400M.

An Eastdil Secured team led by Stephen Livaditis will court offers for the 50-story tower. The 25-year-old building's anchor tenant is Northern Trust, whose 400k SF lease runs through 2025, reports Crain's. The building's most distinctive feature is its illumination at the top and corners. Normally white, the building is lighted in other colors during holidays.

CBRE paid $302M for the property in October 2013 and has invested in renovations to common amenities. [Crain's]
