Younan Properties Leases Up

It's been over a year since we wrote this, and Dan Svachula's hair is still perfect. We met last year when he was a broker at Transwestern, and he recently became the regional leasing manager for Younan Properties' Chicago portfolio. The ownership hired managers to lease its portfolios in Dallas and Houston as well as its 1.6M SF in the Chicago area, which has resulted in more than 1.3M SF in leasing so far this year (250k SF of that in Chicago), with another 400k SF set to be closed by year's end. Younan COO Bobby Peddicord  says the hiring of regional managers has also increased turnaround speed, with some leases being signed in as short as two weeks  after the first building tour.
The Chicago portfolio includes 200 N. LaSalle  downtown, and about 800k SF of space in the North and Northwest suburban submarkets, which includes 1600 Corporate Center in Rolling Meadows, above. Since joining Younan in August, Dan has signed 18 deals for 95k SF, including a 14k SF space for Alliant at 1600 Corporate Center, 13k SF for Emerson at Bannockburn Corporate Center,  and 8k SF for Shelby Inc. at Embassy Plaza. He's also maintained and grown his fantastic 'do. Younan is looking to add to their portfolio in Chicago and the 'burbs, especially where it can find well-priced, trophy assets clustered near its existing buildings.
