G&W Electric Cashes in with ComEd

When it came time for G&W Electric to discuss how to make its new 371k SF HQ and manufacturing center in Bolingbrook more energy-efficient, it contacted the ComEd and Nicor Gas New Construction Service. By working with the program early in design (before design development) the project received more than $300,000 in incentivesfor exceeding code requirements—that’s over .80 cents per square foot. The New Construction Service also supported the design team and provided energy analysis and technical assistance at no cost. The project is pending LEED Gold cert and G&W is expected to save more than $237,000 in annual utility costs. For more info on our sponsor, click here.
