THE ComED GREEN MINUTE

ComEd's Payback!

Does your computer room feel more like a meat locker? If so, there’s probably energy to be saved without compromising your IT systems. ComEd’s Smart Ideas for Your Business® program manager, Zak Suttile, says that cash and service incentives are available to ComEd’s commercial and industrial data center customers. These incentives for energy efficiency include both existing data centers and new data center construction projects. Cash incentives are calculated based on the reduction of kilowatt-hours consumed and can amount to half of the total project cost. The program allows customers to review potential projects to understand paybacks and feasibility. In addition, customers receive free support with the application process, including technical assistance with measurement and verification. Coming soon: cost-shared energy-efficiency audits and studies to identify cost-effective energy-efficiency opportunities in your data centers. For more info on our sponsor, click here.
