| Ground is being broken today on 111 W Wacker—or rather, since a large, hulking, never finished structure is already on the site, execs from (re)developer Related Midwest are going to take a few swings at it with sledgehammers. We snapped Related’s Jennifer McCool last week at the CREW national convention here, where she was on a panel focusing on resurrectingmajorly dead projects. The recession dashed the dreams of the planned posh hotel/condo project at 111 W Wacker. How did Related get involved in the re-do? Reluctantly at first.
