SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT: RAILS ROLL IN WINDY CITY

After testifying last week on Capitol Hill before the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee  on Amtrak’s plans for high-speed rail, US High Speed Rail VP Thomas Hart (left with Quarles & Brady partner Sanford Stein) and his team are in Chicago to host their High Speed Rail Conference. Over the last 18 months, the Midwest has received nearly $2B from the  Federal Rail Administration(FRA) to develop the passenger rail systems in the Chitown region. Today is the official opening, but the party started last night with a VIP reception hosted by law firm Quarles & Brady  at its downtown office with US Sen. Dick Durbin. 200 participants from around the world will join the discussion with industry leaders, including FRA admin Joe Szabo, Amtrak chairman Thomas Carper, HSR VP Al Engel, keynote speaker Gov. Pat Quinn, and John Buck Co CEO John Buck.
