Chicago Association of Realtors' Ginger Downs and Roosevelt University's Goldie Wolfe Miller teamed up to bring 108 real estate professionals to the offices of Baker McKenzie  last night for speed networking. The program was part of the Goldie B. Wolfe Miller Women Leaders in Real Estate Initiative, which presents women seeking masters in commercial real estate with scholarships. Participants discussed social networking, developing a mentoring relationship, career reinvention, and the myth of work life balance.

Heitman's Mary Fifield, Grubb & Ellis' Anne Arnold, and Harrison Street Real Estate Capital's Alaina Hurd. Anne's team is working on a lease for a new Apple Store  to anchor the east end of the North and Clybourne corridor. Alaina's company recently closed on a 19-property portfolio of self-storage facilities all over the country. We would've got more details but this was speed networking.
