| Chinese New Year is two days away, so we thought we'd bring a little Asian flair to today's issue. This week, our NY real estate reporter Amanda Marsh snapped this of the world's second-tallest building, Taiwan's 1,667-foot TAIPEI 101, which lost its tallest status to Dubai's Burj Khalifa this January. Only two US buildings join TAIPEI 101 on the Top 10 list, and both are in Chicago: Willis Tower at 1,450 feet (#5) and Trump International Tower & Hotel at 1,389 feet (#6). TAIPEI 101 is also home to the world's fastest elevators, which travel at 1,010 meters per minute (or 0.6 miles per minute, to us Westerners), taking you from the 5th to 89th floor in 37 seconds.
