Gloom prevails in the Chicago real estate lending environment, but Real Estate Lenders Association finance pros stepped into the sunshine at Market in the West Loop yesterday to enjoy cocktails and convo. Global Realty Services' Julie Sorenson,  here with Crown Advisors' Rikke Vognsen  and Zifkin Realty Management's Yvonne Jones, told us she's one of the founding members of a brand new company of industry veterans specializing in environmental  and  property services. She likes that she gets to talk about something positive in an otherwise negative market.
 
Dykema's Mike Kurtzon  and Park National Bank's Drew Burlak and Tom Chan say they've been busy staying on top of workouts and keeping clients happy. To get away this summer, Tom is joining his father-in-law Mike on a family trip to Wisconsin, where maybe they'll teach Tom's son about cap rates.
