Oxford Capital CEO John Rutledge was awarded the 2016 Arthur Rubloff Humanitarian Award by the Anti-Defamation League of Chicago at its annual awards dinner on Dec. 8. Rutledge (right) received the award from Sheppard Mullin managing partner Larry Eppley.

The award is named after the late real estate magnate Arthur Rubloff, who was responsible for much of Michigan Avenue's transformation into one of the nation's ritziest retail corridors, and honors highly accomplished real estate and business professionals who have simultaneously demonstrated a deep commitment to philanthropy.

Rutledge, who founded his first company, Oxford Realty, at age 24, founded Oxford Capital while he was still in business school. He's a discreet supporter of a wide range of nonprofits and worthy causes, including the 100 Club of Chicago, American Red Cross, The Art Institute of Chicago, A Better Chicago, Boy Scouts of America, Chicago Architecture Foundation, Chicago Foundation for Women, The Field Museum, Global FoodBanking Network, Greater Chicago Food Depository, Holocaust Museum, Invest For Kids, Polsky Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Chicago, Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital and Wounded Warrior Project.
